Our law firm is seeking a proactive, organized, and detail-oriented legal assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will support attorneys across a variety of practice areas by handling legal administrative tasks, managing case files, and assisting with client communications.
- Draft, format, and proofread legal documents, correspondence, and reports
- Manage case files, including scanning, filing, and maintaining physical and digital records
- Schedule appointments, depositions, and court dates
- Maintain attorney calendars and track deadlines
- Communicate professionally with clients, courts, and opposing counsel
- Assist with billing and time entry as needed
- Perform general administrative tasks such as answering phones and processing mail
Requirements- Prior experience as a legal assistant in a similar role within a law firm preferred
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel)
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or paralegal certificate preferred
