Our law firm is seeking a proactive, organized, and detail -oriented legal assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will support attorneys across a variety of practice areas by handling legal administrative tasks, managing case files, and assisting with client communications.
<\/span><\/div>- Draft, format, and proofread legal documents, correspondence, and reports
<\/span><\/li>- Manage case files, including scanning, filing, and maintaining physical and digital records
<\/span><\/li>- Schedule appointments, depositions, and court dates
<\/span><\/li>- Maintain attorney calendars and track deadlines
<\/span><\/li>- Communicate professionally with clients, courts, and opposing counsel
<\/span><\/li>- Assist with billing and time entry as needed
<\/span><\/li>- Perform general administrative tasks such as answering phones and processing mail
<\/span><\/li><\/ul><\/div><\/span>
Requirements<\/h3>- Prior experience as a legal assistant in a similar role within a law firm preferred
<\/span><\/li>- Strong organizational and time -management skills
<\/span><\/li>- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
<\/span><\/li>- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel)
<\/span><\/li>- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
<\/span><\/li>- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or paralegal certificate preferred
