We are an established real estate law firm with offices across California. Our Concord office is looking for a Paralegal to join our fast-paced team. If chosen as the successful candidate, you will assist attorneys with tenant-contested evictions and ensure the efficient and timely production of documents in the trial phase of the unlawful detainer process.

Compensation:

$30.00-$40.00 p/hour (DOE) + Benefits

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Conduct legal research
  • Assist with legal motions and discovery
  • Support Attorneys with drafting letters and notices
  • Perform e-filing, paper filing, and additional administrative duties as needed by the department
  • Assist in client communication and document collection

 

Qualifications:

 

We are looking for candidates with the following qualifications:

 

  • 2+ years experience in a law firm as a paralegal or equivalent legal support staff
  • Excellent writing skills with demonstrated experience in drafting legal documents
  • Professional communication skills via telephone and email
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task
  • Minimum typing speed of 65 words per minute; versatile computer skills

 

The following qualifications are preferred:

 

  • Paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program or equivalent experience
  • Knowledge of unlawful detainers
  • Familiar with local county court rules and procedures
  • ProLaw experience

 

 

 

Schedule:

Position is full-time at 40 hours/week. Our business hours are 8:30am-5:30pm Monday-Thursday, 8:30am-5:00pm Friday.

 

We currently offer an in-office/hybrid work model for select positions within the Firm. New hire employees who are offered a hybrid schedule will complete their onboarding and training in-office as deemed necessary for the position by the firm before transitioning to a hybrid schedule, subject to approval by their supervisor.
