Salary
We are a dynamic, mid-size cannabis operator seeking a Rockstar Legal Assistant to support our in-house legal department. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in an ever evolving industry and is eager to grow within it. The position will primarily focus on corporate transactions and regulatory compliance related to commercial cannabis operations throughout Michigan.
Key Responsibilities
- Organize workflows, maintain data sets, and ensure seamless document management.
- Assist attorney in preparing, reviewing, and compiling form documents.
- Track and manage deadlines for legal filings, court dates, and contract renewals to ensure timely submissions.
- Support ongoing company projects and initiatives, both short-term and long-term, as assigned.
- Assist attorney with preparing, reviewing, and compilation of state and local applications for licensure.
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations related to the cannabis industry.
- Draft correspondence and basic legal documents while maintaining strict confidentiality.
- Exercise sound judgment and discretion in all communications and legal matters.
Qualifications
- Exceptional organizational skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Ability to be meticulous and manage multiple priorities, work independently and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Strong analytical abilities to process and interpret complex information effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proactive problem-solver with a willingness to learn and contribute to team success.
- Must be at least 21 years old and able to pass a criminal background check.2+ years of administrative support experience (legal or corporate setting preferred).
- Associate or Bachelors degree preferred.

$25 - $35 an hour
Candidates must be able to commute to Dearborn, MI before starting work.
