Job Description

Founded in 1920, Akerman is recognized as one of the country’s premier law firms, with more than 700 lawyers in 25 offices throughout the United States. Akerman is seeking a Full-Time Office Services Clerk for its Jacksonville office. The successful candidate should be highly motivated with a strong sense of urgency and be well organized in a fast-paced environment with the ability to multitask. The working hours will be Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., with occasional overtime hours as needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Mail sorting and delivery
  • Pick-up and delivery of documents to courts and state agencies, as well as other business-related errands
  • Set up and clean-up of meeting rooms
  • Stocking and cleanup of kitchen and copier areas
  • Document copying
  • Ordering of all office supplies and amenities for the office
  • Reception desk coverage
  • Special projects, as assigned. 

We require a high school diploma and a minimum of (1) year related experience, preferably within a law firm environment. Qualified candidates must have working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel, and be able to comfortably lift twenty-five (25) to thirty-five (35) lbs. The ability to develop rapport with employees and maintain strong working relationships is important. Must exhibit meticulous attention to detail and produce accurate and high-quality work product.
