Job Description

Job Summary:Under direct supervision, the Business Solutions Document Support Clerical I is responsible for inputting a high volume of data efficiently to manage large amounts of information that is often sensitive or confidential. In addition, the Business Solutions Document Support Clerical is responsible for handling large volumes of mail and cash to be scanned, balanced, and deposited.Responsibilities:

Scope of the Role 

Also responsible to file, manage and shred items in accordance with company document retention policy. The Business Solutions Document Support Clerical is responsible for performing moderately complex data entry duties and applying basic accounting principles. 

 

This role contributes to an organization independently to help support its goals and mission. The Business Solutions Document Support Clerical I focuses on specific tasks or facets of the company as assigned by their direct leader. The Business Solutions Document Support Clerical I is responsible for completing tactile tasks and completing assigned work duties that help drive the success of the organization.   

The Business Solutions Document Support Clerical I will have the ability to communicate effectively, collaborate with internal and external contacts, meet deadlines, organization and time management, and the ability to maintain autonomy while working on projects and duties.  

Performance Outcomes 

Data Management 

  • Balancing the cash report to be turned into accounting daily  

  • Maintain the Rescan Workbasket  

  • Maintain a 90-day rotation of scanned information in the file room  

  • Work and maintain spreadsheets as needed   

 

Processing 

  • Process new group member applications  

  • Process cancellations, and basic changes to memberships  

  • Process member payments  

  • Review non processable applications  

 

Administrative and Communication 

  • Scanning, Indexing, and filing of sensitive and confidential information    

  • Retrieve information from Site Admin.  

  • Take incoming and place outgoing calls and emails 

  • Open and route mail to the proper destination for processing  

  • Other duties as assigned by leadership   

Education, Knowledge, and Experience 

  • High school degree equivalent; Some college, Preferred  

  • 0-1+ years prior experience working in customer service 

  • Basic knowledge of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication 

  • Excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation abilities 

  • Requires an ability to handle multiple deadlines, provide a detailed-oriented, and analytical approach to daily duties and relationship building with a high degree of confidentiality.  

  • An ability to handle multiple deadlines, while working independently and maintaining a high degree of attention to detail, organization, accuracy, and sense of urgency.  

  • Requires an individual with a positive professional attitude who can work as a part of a team or individually.  

  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills   

  • Proactive approach with a passion for service and an ability to thrive in a results driven environment 

  • Requires the ability to work under pressure and quickly adapt to change 

FLSA Status 

This is a non-exempt position. 

Physical Requirements/ Work Environment

The duties of this position are performed in a professional office environment. Employee routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle, feel, or operate objects, tools, or controls, and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to sit, stand, talk and hear. Employee can work at the computer or other sedentary tasks for extended periods. Employee can conduct duties discreetly and impartially. Employee has regular and predictable attendance and punctuality with the ability to work on critical business days as deemed necessary, including some evenings and weekends to ensure all business is processed. Travel is not for this position.
