Active Bar Membership in North Carolina and South Carolina The candidate must be a member in good standing of both the NC and SC Bar Associations to practice across our client portfolios. Juris Doctorate (JD) A law degree from an accredited institution is required to fulfill legal duties and responsibilities. 35 Years of Experience with Eviction-Related Pleadings The role demands prior experience handling eviction matters, including the preparation, review, and court representation. Ability to Manage and Prioritize a Large Caseload This is a high-volume role that requires excellent organizational and time management skills to stay compliant with deadlines and client expectations.
The Associate Attorney is responsible for handling Residential Portfolio Management matters for the firm. They will utilize legal knowledge and experience to facilitate eviction, code enforcement and small claims matters on behalf of our clients.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Preparation, review, and approval of eviction related pleadings.
- Handle all aspects of eviction, code enforcement and small claims matters including contested matters.
- Participation in mediations, depositions, telephonic hearings, in-person hearings.
- Regular client meetings/updates.
- Other duties and special projects as assigned.
Requirements:
- Juris Doctorate.
- 3-5 years of experience with eviction-related pleadings.
- Member in good standing of the North Carolina and South Carolina Bar Associations.
- Ability to manage and prioritize large caseload.
- Demonstrates strong written and verbal communication skills. Effectively communicates with all clients (via client systems, e-mail, and phone).
- Provides exceptional client service.
- Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner.
- Conscientious with respect to work completion, deadlines, time management and attendance.
- Analytical and detail oriented, while working at a fast pace and capable of multi-tasking.
- Excellent problem solving and organizational skills.
