Hennepin County’s County Attorney’s Office (HCAO) is seeking an Operations and Data Analyst Manager to lead strategic planning/management, business analysis, and evaluation of projects/programs/policies to support the development of new programs and policies. The Operations and Data Analyst Manager will work in collaboration with the County Attorney, leadership team, and internal and external partners to gather, analyze, and share data to enhance business, research best practices, manage projects, pursue quality improvement, and improve services for internal staff, system partners, and residents.
Location and hours:
This position is hybrid and will be performed both on-site at the Government Center in downtown Minneapolis at 300 South 6th Street, Minneapolis, MN 55487 and remote as job duties require. Work hours will be Monday through Friday, with typical hours of 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. While this position is designated as hybrid, based on current requirements hires must reside in or relocate to Minnesota or Wisconsin.
About the position type:This position is a full-time, benefit-earning position. You must be a current regular or probationary employee of the County Attorney’s Office to apply for this position. Limited duration employees not eligible.This position is internally classified as an Administrative Manager, Senior.
Click here to view the job classification specification.In this position, you will:- Develop and coordinate projects/program activities and policies for the HCAO.
- Design, develop, and maintain internal and public-facing dashboards and data visualization tools used for analysis and communication of HCAO’s work.
- Gather, analyze, and share data to enhance business, research best practices, manage projects, pursue quality improvement, and improve services for internal staff, system partners, and residents.
- Develop department budget materials and support resource allocation decisions.
- Identify grant opportunities and draft and submit grant proposals to secure funding.
- Respond to and resolve organizational and departmental or interdepartmental issues.
- Direct supervision of other Professional Standards staff.
- Provide leadership to further department-based strategies that align with county goals, mission, and core values for diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- One of the following:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in business administration, or other field appropriate to the position and five years or more of experience in the planning and administration of organizational operations or programs.
- Nine or more years of experience in the planning and administration of organizational operations or programs.
- Experience:
- Evaluating policies, practices, and programs to improve operational effectiveness.
- Leading change, building processes, communicating strategy, and supporting workplace culture initiatives.
- Working within the criminal legal system or with criminal legal system data.
- Setting and managing goals and strategies to better maximize resources and look for opportunities to improve and innovate support.
- Developing, recommending, and implementing process for department support activities.
- Overseeing grant operations and budget.
- With racial equity, gender equity, LGBTQIA+ equity, and/or people with varying abilities to achieve health and racial equity.
- Knowledge of organizational change, development, planning, implementation, and program evaluation/performance management.
- Knowledge and demonstrated experience working effectively within a team, organization, and community.
- Ability to:
- Present and communicate complex analyses to a variety of stakeholders.
- Build and nurture collaborative relationships with a variety of customers/partners, both internal and external.
- Lead, supervise, and develop direct reports through coaching, mentoring and performance management techniques.
