Duties The Platform Solutions Branch is responsible for serving as the business owner for innovative software platforms supporting key judiciary initiatives. The position reports directly to the Chief of the Emerging Technology Division and is responsible for the strategic direction, growth, and overall success of the software platform(s) within the organization. This role requires a deep understanding of the market, technology, and business operations of the judiciary to drive innovation, customer satisfaction, and effectiveness.
The incumbent is responsible for serving as the business owner for several platforms such as CI/CD, low-code/no-code, RPA, etc., and will lead and mentor teams of federal IT specialists and contractor resources to provide new capabilities and platforms to the judiciary in support of all judiciary modernization efforts. In alignment with the mission of the Emerging Technology Division, the incumbent also works closely with platform stakeholders across the judiciary to identify opportunities for innovation and optimization and supports the evolution of the Emerging Technology Division's services and operations.
Duties of the position include, but are not limited to:
- Collaborating with the Chief of the Emerging Technology Division and the Chief Technology Officer to establish and support the business owner role for judiciary software platforms.
- Developing and executing a comprehensive program management plan for the software platform(s), aligning with the judiciary's overall business and IT strategies.
- Conducting market research and analysis to identify trends and opportunities.
- Overseeing the entire platform lifecycle, from ideation to launch and eventual retirement, while collaborating with operational offices to ensure that products meet technical specifications, quality standards, user requirements, and properly maintained.
- Prioritizing features and enhancements based on customer feedback and business objectives.
- Fostering a collaborative and innovative work culture.
- Identifying and evaluating new technology opportunities to enhance the platform(s), and drive innovation and continuous improvement within the product portfolio.
- Collaborating with the Innovation and Research Branch on Proof of Concepts and Prototyping efforts.
- $104,887 - $191,900/year

Specialized Experience: Applicants must have at least one full year (52 weeks) of specialized experience which is in or directly related to the line of work of this position. Specialized experience is demonstrated experience in ALL of the following:
- Serving as a business or product owner for a large-scale enterprise software platform;
- Leading, managing, supervising, and directing staff with responsibility for staff's personal development, skills assessments, training guidance, and performance; and
- Working with IT Executives and leaders, developing and presenting opinion papers, analysis, roadmaps, and presentations communicating complex business and technical scenarios and problems to Executive and Senior Management.
