The Connecticut General Assembly's nonpartisan legal services office seeks a full time permanent staff attorney for a unique legal opportunity in a dynamic environment.
- Examples of Duties
Primary responsibilities are working with Legislators to draft legislation and serving as legal counsel to one or more legislative committees. Additional responsibilities include providing related legal services, indexing and codifying public acts for publication, and reviewing proposed state agency regulations.
- Typical Qualifications
Requires superior writing and analytical skills, thoroughness, accuracy and attention to detail, strong interpersonal and teamwork skills. Ideal candidates take a proactive approach to their work and are strongly self-motivated. Must perform excellent work under tight deadlines and be willing and able to work long hours during legislative sessions. Excellent academic record, law degree, and admission to the Connecticut bar at the time of hiring are required. - Supplemental Information

Starting salary $96,954
