Growing Ohio real estate law firm is looking for a litigation associate attorney to join their dynamic and engaging Cleveland litigation group offering a tremendous opportunity for long term advancement and professional development.
This position regularly handles matters related to a wide variety of cases including enforcement of property restrictions, contract disputes, construction defects, and other real property issues. Position Description:
- Manage high project load and administrative staff
- Maintain in-depth knowledge and independently handle all assigned cases, assigned or personally originated, in a diverse case load.
- Chair client corporate meetings
- Maintain strong relationships by advising clients on the status of cases.
- Expected to be proficient in all phases and tasks of a matter including but not limited to, drafting complaints and answers, discovery, witness preparation, taking and defending depositions, motion practice, trial preparation, actual trial conduct, and appellate work.
Requirements:
- Must be admitted to practice law in Ohio
- 8+ years plus of relevant litigation experience in real estate, corporate, or contract law, or in representing governmental organizations in litigation based civil matters.
- Proficient with Microsoft tools and other sophisticated software including legal software.
- Must be available during business hours, as well as some evenings and weekends for client meetings.
- Ability to manage electronic task list and billings.
- Excellent communication skills.
