Job Description
As the Director, Office of Civil Rights and Equal Employment Opportunity (OCRE), you will provide executive leadership and strategic direction for the Department's civil rights and Equal Employment Opportunity programs. The Director, OCRE advises senior Treasury leadership on policy, program implementation, and organizational accountability while ensuring compliance with Federal civil rights laws and strengthening organizational accountability.
Duties As the Director, OCRE you will be responsible for performing the following duties: Providing executive leadership for the Department-wide civil rights and Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) program, establishing strategic priorities, performance goals, and long-term initiatives that advance Treasury's mission and workforce objectives. Serving as the principal advisor to the Assistant Secretary for Management and other senior Departmental officials on civil rights, equal employment opportunity, organizational culture, accessibility, and related workforce policy matters. Directing the administration of Treasury's EEO complaint program, including oversight of discrimination complaint processing, alternative dispute resolution (ADR), complaint adjudication, and related compliance activities to ensure timely, fair, and legally sufficient resolution of complaints. Developing, implementing, and evaluating Department-wide civil rights and EEO policies, programs, and strategic initiatives to ensure compliance with Federal statutes, Executive Orders, regulations, Management Directives, and government-wide policy requirements. Leading organizational initiatives that strengthen accountability, improve program effectiveness, and promote a workplace culture that values integrity, accessibility, continuous improvement, and high performance. Providing executive oversight for program planning, resource management, workforce development, and performance measurement to ensure efficient and effective delivery of civil rights and EEO services across the Department. Collaborating with Treasury bureaus, Departmental leadership, Federal agencies, oversight organizations, and external stakeholders to address emerging civil rights issues, develop innovative solutions, and advance government-wide equal employment opportunity objectives. Representing the Department before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), Office of Personnel Management (OPM), Department of Justice (DOJ), Office of Management and Budget (OMB), congressional staff, and other Federal organizations on significant civil rights, EEO, and workforce policy matters. Providing executive leadership in identifying and resolving complex, highly sensitive, and high-impact civil rights and equal employment opportunity issues affecting the Department, and making authoritative recommendations to senior leadership on policy, program, and operational matters. Promoting a high-performing organization by fostering collaboration, developing executive and managerial talent, encouraging innovation, and ensuring effective stewardship of human and financial resources in support of Treasury's strategic priorities. Salary- $151,661 - $228,000/year
