Duties The incumbent serves as the Records and Information Management Specialist responsible for administering and supporting records management activities for the district in accordance with the Federal Records Act, agency regulations, and guidance issued by the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA). Performs a variety of support duties involving maintenance, organization, tracking, retrieval, retention, and disposition of records in accordance with established records management procedures. If selected for this position, you will receive formal and/or on-the-job training, as needed. Duties include: Records and Information Management Program Administration Performs lower-level records management activities for the United States Attorney Office (USAO), involving file organization, records inventories, file plans, docketing systems, suspense tracking, and records disposition actions. Maintains correspondence logs, calendars, and tracking systems. Assists with office workflow coordination and reporting. Supports the development, evaluation, maintenance, and execution of the USAO records management program and system design. Supports and completes the maintenance of official records to include preservation, archiving, and prompt and systematic disposition of temporary records according to the appropriate records schedules, resulting in improvements to the efficiency and effectiveness of the utility of the official records. Performs administrative and office support duties. Provides procedural guidance to staff regarding records and filing processes. Serves as a source of technical information on all aspects of USAO docketing functions. Responsibilities will increase and assignments will become more complex as your training and experience progress. Salary- $50,460 - $65,599/year
