Pre-Litigation Assistant Director/ Attorney

JOB DESCRIPTION: Singleton Schreiber, LLP is seeking a motivated and experienced Associate Attorney to serve as the Pre-Litigation Assistant Director within our Personal Injury team. This role is ideal for a self-starting attorney passionate about advocating for injured clients in the pre-litigation stage. The Assistant Director will support the strategic management of the Pre-Litigation team, working closely with the Pre-Litigation Director and Practice Group Administrator to ensure high-quality, client-focused outcomes.

Fluency in Spanish is required, as this role involves regular communication with Spanish-speaking clients.

This position is primarily based in-person at our San Diego office; however, a flexible hybrid arrangement may be considered.

SALARY AND BENEFITS:

$125,000-$200,000 annually

Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as location, skills, experience, and qualifications for the role.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage a full caseload of pre-litigation personal injury matters with the supervision and support of the Pre-Litigation Director and Pre-Litigation Practice Group Administrator.
  • Make strategic decisions regarding case outcomes, including settlement discussions, medical treatment options, and litigation readiness, in consultation with clients and leadership with support of the Pre-Litigation Director and Pre-Litigation Practice Group Administrator
  • Draft demand letters and negotiate settlements with insurance adjusters
  • Communicate effectively with clients, internal team members, and external parties to ensure timely and successful resolution of cases.
  • Ensure proper documentation and compliance with legal and ethical standards, while maintaining case files in case management software (e.g., Filevine, SmartAdvocate, Clio, or similar).
  • Support overflow tasks and contribute to special projects to ensure the success of the practice group.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned to support departmental and firm-wide goals

QUALIFICATION AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • Fluency in Spanish is required.
  • Juris Doctor degree from an ABA accredited law school
  • Active license to practice law in California.
  • 5+ years of experience in litigation.
  • Experience managing a high-volume pre-litigation caseload.
  • Proficiency in Adobe and Microsoft Office products.
  • Detail oriented and organized, be a team player, be reliable, and capable of multitasking and managing several time-critical projects under tight deadlines.
  • This position requires excellent written and oral communication skills.
