As the Commercial and Privacy Attorney leader will have responsibility for all Securiti’s Sales commercial contracts and privacy world wide, with the opportunity to hire, develop, & continue to grow the team. The role is pivotal, as it will support the successful growth in sales and company growth as we scale.
This position will be primarily responsible for reviewing, negotiating, and drafting commercial documents, and maintaining privacy/regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Independently draft and negotiate contracts, including master, supplementary agreements, channel partner agreements, and interoperability agreements
- Drive company internal compliance programs and external regulatory matters
- Support the team’s mission to maintain a culture of privacy at the Company and comply with privacy laws worldwide
- Support privacy-by-design by analyzing the privacy impact of new products and features and supporting completion of privacy impact assessments
- Respond promptly and accurately with minimal supervision to business requests for advice related to contracts and coordinate with external legal teams where required
Tasks and Qualifications:
- Minimum 6 - 8 years of legal experience (external law firm, and /or in-house), including 2+ years of experience in privacy
- Juris Doctor from an accredited law school and active license to practice law in any U.S. jurisdiction
- Significant experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial agreements channel partnership agreements, master sales agreements, and purchasing agreements
- Experience in SaaS companies with International footprint
- Provide legal support to internal business partners, including executive management, sales, purchasing, finance, customer service, human resources and other business functions, in a manner that integrates legal risk management with the company’s business objectives
- Respond to ad hoc queries to identify, analyze, and evaluate risks and provide appropriate legal solutions
- Ability to perform legal research and analysis across multiple jurisdictions
- Strong management, organizational and problem-solving skills, and excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to lead and manage multiple projects in a corporate setting
- Demonstrated ability to apply knowledge of fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures to commercial contracts
- Highly motivated, independent, self-starter with ability to multitask and constantly prioritize in fast-paced environment
- Desire to work with global teams and flexibility to work across various time zones
