Minimum qualifications:
- JD, LL.B., equivalent degree, or equivalent practical experience.
- Admitted to the bar and in good standing or otherwise authorized to practice law (e.g., have registered in-house status) in the state in which the position is located.
- 3 years of attorney-level experience in government, in-house, or at a law firm.
- Experience with intellectual property litigation and disputes.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience with Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB) proceedings.
- Experience with the online industry and Google products and technologies.
- Knowledge of IP law issues in a technology context.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with leadership and management of cases.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $218,000-$315,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. - Manage all aspects of intellectual property litigation and disputes, including defining and executing strategy, reviewing all briefing and filings, preparing for depositions and working with witnesses, determining dispute resolution approaches.
- Draft pleadings and discovery requests, take and defend depositions, and develop the infrastructure required to prevent disputes from arising.
- Work closely with various Legal, Product and Business team members to provide counseling on intellectual property disputes.
- Partner with outside counsel to take an active role in intellectual property litigation and disputes.
- Collaborate with other external in-house counsel and legal organizations on intellectual property dispute and policy matters.
