Job Responsibilities:
Position Overview
The HR Legal Intern offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in HR legal matters, compliance, and employment law within a dynamic manufacturing industry.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provides general support to the HR Legal team
- Conduct legal research on various HR-related topics, including labor laws, workplace safety regulations, and employee rights.
- Support the HR Legal team in handling legal matters related to HR and labor relations, including investigations and disciplinary actions.
- Help ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Assist in the preparation and organization of legal documents and records.
- Provide support in the development and implementation of HR training programs focused on legal compliance and labor relations.
- Collaborate with other HR Legal team members on various projects and initiatives related to legal matters and labor relations.
Qualifications:
- Some related experience preferred
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Personable, able to deal with a variety of people comfortably and pleasantly
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Education / Experience
- Currently pursuing or plan to pursue a degree in Law or a related field.
Special Knowledge / Skills:
- Proficient Computer knowledge and skills, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Professional Communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong technical and analytical competence in select areas of technology.
Physical Demands / Work Environment:
- Normal amount of sitting or standing, average mobility to move around an office environment, able to conduct normal amount of work at a computer.
