
Key Responsibilities: Draft, proofread, and prepare legal documents, pleadings, correspondence, and discovery requests/responses. Conduct legal research and summarize findings for attorney review. Manage case files from inception through resolution, ensuring all deadlines are tracked and met. Coordinate with courts, opposing counsel, clients, and expert witnesses. Assist with trial preparation, including organizing exhibits, witness lists, and trial binders. Review and organize discovery materials, including electronic data and document production. Maintain and update case management systems and calendars. Prepare and file legal documents in state and federal courts, including e-filing. Support attorneys with administrative tasks as needed to ensure smooth case progression. Qualifications: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in paralegal studies (or related field) preferred; paralegal certificate from an accredited program required. 5+ years of paralegal experience in litigation; boutique or small firm experience a plus. Strong knowledge of Maryland court rules and procedures; familiarity with federal court procedures a plus. Proficiency with legal research tools (such as LexisNexis, Westlaw) and Microsoft Office Suite. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting. High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
