Position Overview:
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented, proactive Paralegal to support their attorneys in delivering exceptional legal services to our clients. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, a skilled multi-tasker, and thrives in a dynamic environment. This role requires excellent organizational skills, the ability to prioritize competing deadlines, and a commitment to maintaining the highest level of professionalism.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft, proofread, and prepare legal documents, pleadings, correspondence, and discovery requests/responses.

  • Conduct legal research and summarize findings for attorney review.

  • Manage case files from inception through resolution, ensuring all deadlines are tracked and met.

  • Coordinate with courts, opposing counsel, clients, and expert witnesses.

  • Assist with trial preparation, including organizing exhibits, witness lists, and trial binders.

  • Review and organize discovery materials, including electronic data and document production.

  • Maintain and update case management systems and calendars.

  • Prepare and file legal documents in state and federal courts, including e-filing.

  • Support attorneys with administrative tasks as needed to ensure smooth case progression.



Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in paralegal studies (or related field) preferred; paralegal certificate from an accredited program required.

  • 5+ years of paralegal experience in litigation; boutique or small firm experience a plus.

  • Strong knowledge of Maryland court rules and procedures; familiarity with federal court procedures a plus.

  • Proficiency with legal research tools (such as LexisNexis, Westlaw) and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.

  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
