What we’re looking for:
We’re looking for a sharp, business-savvy legal leader to build and scale our Legal function. This is a high-impact, generalist role for someone who thrives across commercial, corporate, and regulatory domains—turning complexity into clarity at speed. You'll work cross-functionally with leaders across Sales, Product, People, and Finance to drive smart growth, navigate global risk, and help the company scale with confidence.

What You'll Do:

• Play a foundational leadership role with broad autonomy and direct access to the executive team, including the CEO, CFO, and Board—advising on strategy, risk, and execution across the business.
  
• Lead, draft, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements—including SaaS, vendor, partnership, NDAs, and DPAs—with an eye toward practical risk management and deal velocity.
• Manage/work alongside our Romania-based legal team with counsel from our various external law firms as needed. 
  
• Oversee corporate legal matters, including governance, board processes, equity administration, entity management, and fundraising activities.
  
• Serve as a key advisor on global privacy and data protection laws (e.g., GDPR, CCPA), partnering with Product, Marketing, and Engineering to ensure compliance is built into how we operate.
  
• Manage international legal matters, with a primary focus on our Romanian entity, while coordinating with external counsel and advising on cross-border issues as we expand.
  
• Partner with cross-functional teams on strategic and operational initiatives requiring legal insight—from new product launches to regulatory response.
  
• Proactively identify and mitigate legal and compliance risks while enabling the business to move quickly and with confidence.

What We're Looking For

• 10+ years of legal experience, with a mix of top law firms and in-house roles in the Tech industry.
  
• Demonstrated expertise across commercial contracts, corporate law, and privacy/data protection.
  
• Global experience—especially with U.S. and European legal frameworks and contracting norms.
  
• Strong business acumen and the ability to provide clear, actionable advice in a fast-paced environment.
• Well versed in the latest AI-enabled legal tools for speed and efficiency.
  
• Comfortable working autonomously and cross-functionally—rolls up sleeves without needing rigid guardrails.
  
• Bar admission in at least one relevant jurisdiction.
  
• Prior work in a Series A–C tech company or cross-border corporate environment.
