This is a remote position.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for various legal projects, including contract review and negotiation, risk analysis for business initiatives, research, and advice in areas of the law impacting a consumer-packaged goods company.
- Works collaboratively with and provides legal advice to cross-functional teams within the company on diverse topics, including business transactions, litigation and other disputes, labor/employment matters, and compliance with applicable laws.
- Draft, negotiate, and review a wide range of commercial agreements, such as master services agreements, license agreements, vendor agreements, and employment agreements with consultants, suppliers, vendors, retailers, partners, personnel, etc.
- Review marketing campaigns and materials.
- Keep abreast of ongoing governance and regulatory changes and report directly to the Chief Legal Officer.
- Ensure that the Company conducts its business in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and rules.
- Deliver creative, timely, proactive, and business-friendly advice and training in a fast-paced, competitive, and evolving environment.
- Work closely with all business units to address ongoing legal needs.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree plus a J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school
- Member in good standing of a state bar
- Successful legal experience in top CPG companies, including E-commerce/digital, global experience
- 7-10+ years of directly related work experience – Intellectual Property, Trademark, and Litigation experience preferred
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced and results-driven environment
- Ability to creatively analyze and address novel issues and think outside the box
