Position Title and Salary:                  Trial Court Clerk IV, grade 27, $47,001 annually

Job Duties: This is a supervisory position which will require experience and working knowledge of all areas of each Department in the Clerk of the Court office, supervise department staff as needed or requested, oversee cross-training between multiple departments, and supervise the forthcoming Self-Help Center. This position will be instrumental in working with Court Administration, Judges, and Legal Staff to develop, staff, supervise, and manage the Self-Help Center. The successful applicant will also coordinate e-filing efforts with the court’s Information Systems Department, the Office of Judicial Administration, and other external agencies, work closely with judges, attorneys and their staff, law enforcement agencies, and other county and state agencies. The ability to work closely, in one-on-one situations, with the public in routine as well as difficult situations, providing guidance and information.

Required Education and Experience: Graduation from high school and four years clerical experience.  Preference given to applicants with previous supervisory experience.

Desired qualifications: The successful applicant must possess proven management, leadership, and supervisory experience. This position must have the ability to work effectively and professionally with judges and court personnel, staff, the public, external stakeholders, and others. He or she must exhibit excellent oral and written communication skills, be a successful trainer, motivate staff and possess the ability to update and maintain procedures as needed or required.
