Job Description

The Role

We’re looking for a driven and enthusiastic Senior Product Counsel to join our global Legal team. We’re looking for a sharp, business-minded Product Counsel to build and own our product legal function from scratch.

What you will do
  • Serve as the primary legal advisor to product, engineering, and business teams on all aspects of product development, launch, and lifecycle.
  • Design and implement scalable legal and compliance frameworks pertinent to our business and across jurisdictions.
  • Advise on and operationalize privacy, data protection, and security requirements (including, for example, CPNI, TCPA, state/federal privacy laws, and global frameworks as needed).
  • Guide the business through regulatory ambiguity and novel product issues, providing actionable, risk-calibrated advice.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure legal requirements are embedded in product design, customer experience, and go-to-market strategies.
  • Monitor legal and regulatory developments in telecom, privacy, consumer protection, and payments; translate changes into business impact and compliance actions.
  • Support commercial, IP, and partnership matters as needed.
  • Take on other legal projects as one of our first legal hires—flexibility and a builder’s mindset are a must.
What we are looking for
  • J.D. from a top law school and active bar membership.
  • 5+ years of legal experience, ideally a mix of big law and in-house at a tech, telecom, or highly regulated company.
  • Deep experience counseling product and engineering teams in a fast-paced, high-growth environment for a regulated industry.
  • Expertise in privacy, compliance, consumer protection, payments, and advertising/marketing law.
  • Strong working knowledge of IP, commercial, and partnership issues relevant to SaaS and telecom.
  • Demonstrated ability to build legal processes and documentation from the ground up.
  • Excellent judgment, business acumen, and communication skills—able to translate legal advice into practical, actionable guidance.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity, rapid change, and rolling up your sleeves to solve new problems.
  • Bonus: Experience with MVNOs, telecom, embedded connectivity, or fintech/payments.  One or more CIPP certifications.
