We are currently seeking a Corporate Counsel to join Silverado’s Risk & Legal Affairs Department. This is an outstanding opportunity for a licensed attorney, either currently in‑house or coming from a law firm to transition into a collaborative, purpose‑driven organization. You’ll be part of a close‑knit legal and risk team that works across the business and supports Silverado’s healthcare operations nationwide, with strong investment in leadership development and professional growth.

You’re a practical, solution-oriented attorney who enjoys partnering with business leaders, navigating healthcare regulations, and supporting a cultur#e of compliance and accountability. You bring sound legal judgment, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple matters in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of agreements, including vendor contracts, referral relationships, medical director agreements, and leases
- Advise on federal and state healthcare regulations, including hospice Conditions of Participation and applicable assisted living state regulations
- Provide discovery support for GL/PL and EPL litigation
- Advise on subpoenas and records requests
- Promote a culture of compliance and accountability across the organization
- Support development of policies, procedures, and training materials
- Advise internal stakeholders related to company initiatives and regulatory changes
- Additional projects assigned by Vice President, Risk & Legal
Qualifications:
- Willingness to work as part of an in-person team (remote work is not available for this role)
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) required
- Admitted to a State Bar in any jurisdiction (California preferred).
- 5-7 years of experience as a licensed attorney
- At least 2-3 years of healthcare and/or transactional law experience, either in-house or within a law firm
- Experience in assisted living and/or hospice industry strongly preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical, research and problem-solving abilities
- Practical, results-oriented approach balanced with sound legal judgement
- Ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously, communicate with internal stakeholders and deliver timely results
- Self-starter who can work independently while also thriving in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills
- Highly self-directed with excellent organizational and prioritization skills
- Must be comfortable working in an environment with pets

Anticipated pay range
$150,000 - $175,000 USD
