Summary Competent representation of the City of Amarillo and the State of Texas in Municipal Court to try class C misdemeanor cases, and to defend any appeals.
Physical Demands
Requires good vision and hearing. Must be able to occasionally lift 25 pounds. Requires good mental stability. Filing system requires ability to reach overhead to seven feet.
Required Qualifications
Requires graduation from an accredited school of law. Requires license to practice law in the State of Texas (in good standing). Experience is not required but is beneficial. Must have a valid Texas drivers license. Must submit resume and cover letter with completed City application. The City may consider all related education and/or experience in determining an applicant’s minimum qualifications and starting salary.
