Duties Serves as a Central Processing Pharmacist for Federal Bureau of Prisons' Central Processing operation which has functional responsibility for central processing services nation-wide to all designated BOP institutions as determined by the Central Processing Chief Pharmacist. Responsible for functional and operational aspects of Central Processing Pharmacy duties to include the delivery of pharmaceutical care services in accordance with the Bureau of Prisons treatment guidelines, national formulary, national policy, established standards of practice, federal law, and scopes of practice consistent with licensure. Ensures that all medication orders are reviewed for appropriateness in regard to medication, dose, route, interval, and contraindications, as well as evaluated for efficiency and appropriateness of therapy and formulary compliance. Responsible for participating in quality assurance activities regarding medications as directed by the Central Processing Chief Pharmacist. Along with all other correctional institution employees, incumbent is charged with responsibility for maintaining security of the institution. The staff correctional responsibilities precede all others required by this position and is performed on a regular and recurring basis. Salary- $88,621 - $115,213/year
