
Position: Litigation Paralegal

Contract Details: Full-time
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Litigation Paralegal to join our legal team in Chicago, IL. As a Litigation Paralegal, you will be responsible for assisting attorneys with all stages of the litigation process, including cite checking and blue book research. This is a full-time position with a competitive salary and benefits package.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough cite checking and blue book research for legal briefs, motions, and other court filings
- Organize and maintain case files, including pleadings, exhibits, and other documents
- Assist with document review and production, including privilege logs and document databases
- Prepare and file court documents, including pleadings, briefs, and other submissions
- Coordinate and schedule depositions, hearings, and other meetings
- Communicate with clients, witnesses, and opposing counsel as needed
- Assist attorneys with trial preparation, including organizing exhibits and witness materials
- Conduct legal research and draft memoranda on various legal issues
- Perform administrative tasks, such as answering phones, managing calendars, and maintaining office supplies
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree and/or paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a litigation paralegal
- Strong knowledge of cite checking and blue book rules
- Familiarity with state and federal court procedures and e-filing systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal research databases
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Professional demeanor and ability to maintain confidentiality
