Job Description

Roetzel & Andress, a national law firm with a busy and growing litigation practice, seeks a Litigation Associate for its Toledo office with experience in handling litigation matters.

Primary responsibilities for this position include the preparation of initial pleadings and discovery, appearance at hearings in Federal and State Court, and the general support of partners in civil litigation matters from inception.

Position requirements:
  • In excess of two years of litigation experience in state and federal courts.
  • Member of the Ohio Bar in good standing.
  • Exceptional research and writing skills.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills, able to work well under deadlines in a changing environment and perform multiple tasks effectively and concurrently with multiple partners while using sound judgment in decision-making.
  • Demonstrate abilities to manage relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Strong work ethic and desire for professional development.
  • Meet or exceed the required monthly billable hour requirements.
  • Top 25% of class and law review or moot court (or similar program) preferred.
