Location: Onsite in the office – Lightfoot, Franklin & White, LLC, in Birmingham, AL
Overview We’re seeking a tech-savvy, detail-obsessed problem solver with deep AV knowledge, a passion for innovation, and an eye for design. You’ll thrive here if you combine technical precision with creative vision—someone who can wire a courtroom in the morning and storyboard a compelling visual timeline that afternoon. As a Litigation Technology Specialist, you won’t just support lawyers—you’ll elevate how they present, persuade, and win.
This role is perfect for IT professionals, AV specialists, or multimedia experts who want to bring their skills to a fast-paced legal environment where storytelling, design, and technology intersect.
What You’ll Do ⚖️ Trial & Legal Presentation Technology - Lead technical execution for trials, arbitrations, and hearings—onsite, remote, or hybrid.
- Operate advanced trial software (e.g., TrialDirector, OnCue) to present exhibits and video clips in real time.
- Create impactful multimedia presentations to support courtroom arguments.
- Set up and manage AV systems: microphones, monitors, switchers, projectors, and recording setups.
- Provide live AV support in high-pressure environments.
- Produce and edit video content such as deposition clips, case explainer videos, and visual exhibits.
- Collaborate with attorneys to create persuasive visuals, graphics, and timelines that tell a compelling legal story.
- Use Adobe Creative Suite and design principles to enhance clarity and engagement.
- Research and deploy emerging technologies (AI tools, real-time transcription, document automation).
- Train legal staff on tech solutions to improve workflow and presentation quality.
- Troubleshoot issues and implement improvements across litigation systems.
- Maintain organized digital case files, exhibits, and media libraries.
- Build interactive timelines, annotated videos, and digital trial binders for court teams and witnesses.
- Help produce and manage internal podcasts, training media, and knowledge-sharing resources.
- Maintain internal databases and content hubs for quick access to expert knowledge and case resources.
- AV Expertise – Strong experience operating and troubleshooting AV systems in live environments.
- PowerPoint Proficiency – Skilled at building engaging, polished presentations that convey complex ideas clearly and persuasively.
- Design Sensibility – A creative eye for layout, branding, and visual storytelling.
- Video Production Skills – Proficiency in editing and producing high-quality video content.
- Tech Fluency – Confident using tools like Microsoft 365, Adobe Creative Suite, OBS, and video/audio editing software.
(No prior experience with trial presentation software required—we’ll teach you what you need to know.) - Innovation-Minded – Comfortable exploring and deploying AI, automation, and new tools to drive efficiency.
- Legal Experience Preferred – Familiarity with litigation or courtroom settings is a plus, but not required.
Why This Role Rocks
- You’ll be a key player in how cases are visually and technically presented—your work directly shapes courtroom impact.
- You’ll balance creative storytelling with high-tech execution across trials, firm communications, and client presentations.
- You’ll be immersed in a culture that values design, clarity, and next-gen technology in the legal world.
