The Community Impact (CI) team has an exciting opportunity for a service-oriented and enthusiastic professional to join the team as a Community Impact Assistant. The role will be primarily in-person (at least 3 days per week) and based in Palo Alto.

The CI Assistant will provide administrative support for our Community Impact team, including supporting pro bono and community service programs and other community impact events and initiatives, including scheduling, researching nonprofits, tracking immigration cases, assisting with presentations, and surveys, helping manage social media, and handling other projects in support of the CI team.

Primary responsibilities

Community Impact - Pro Bono & Community Service

  • Provide support for pro bono and community service programs and other community impact events and initiatives, including scheduling meetings, presentations, activities, and clinics.
  • Assist with staffing volunteers, including communications.
  • Maintain and update case distribution and project interest lists.
  • Process audit letters.
  • Assist with pro bono proposals.
  • Help with surveys and award nominations, including tracking deadlines, submittals, and outcome.
  • Assist with the preparation of firm publications (such as Annual Community Impact Report) and presentations.
  • Research nonprofits and projects.
  • Track Immigration cases and community service activities.
  • Assist with inquiries.
  • Help manage CI social media and CI Team Email & Updates (semi-weekly).
  • Provide support for WSGives firmwide events, including awards, talking points, and vendors.
  • Use, update and navigate Paladin (pro bono platform) in order to manage pro bono matters.
  • Update and maintain pro bono and community service section of firm’s intranet.
  • Coordinate AV and IT program needs.
  • Proofread all work with an eye for detail and accuracy.
  • Assist with other projects as needed.

Wilson Sonsini Foundation

  • Provide support for the Wilson Sonsini Foundation.
  • Update and maintain the Foundation section of firm’s intranet.
  • Maintain Grants folders on NetDocs.
  • Assist with financial tasks, including finance register, and audit preparation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Experience in a professional environment preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Professional manner and good judgment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

  • Familiarity with video platforms, including Zoom and MS Teams (preferred).
     
The primary location for this job posting is in Palo Alto. The actual base pay offered will depend upon a variety of factors, including but not limited to the selected candidate’s qualifications, years of relevant experience, level of education, professional certifications and licenses, and work location. The anticipated pay range for this position is as follows: $24.52 - $33.17 per hour.

The compensation for this position may include overtime and a discretionary year-end merit bonus based on performance. We offer a highly competitive salary and benefits package.
