This is an opportunity to join a collaborative team focused on supporting the Firm’s new business intake function.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Review the Firm’s new business intake forms and related documents, including conflict reports and engagement terms to identify and resolve business and ethical conflicts and to ensure compliance with Firm policies before matter opening.
- Draft and review waiver letters, engagement letters, and communicate with lawyers and staff on any changes or additional information that may be necessary before the Firm can accept the new business.
- Work closely with the Associate Director of New Business Intake and a team of Conflicts & Ethics Attorneys.
- Advise on issues under the rules of professional responsibility.
- Provide advice to attorneys in connection with conflicts of interest analysis, engagement letters, conflicts waivers, and firm policies related to new business intake.
- Oversee the onboarding of transferring matters for lateral partners.
- Other duties or projects may be assigned by the Associate Director of New Business Intake or Director of Conflicts & New Business Intake.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Juris Doctorate (J.D.); minimum three years of legal work experience after law school; and an active law license in the jurisdiction in which located.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Working knowledge of the rules of professional conduct.
- Adapt to changing priorities, meet deadlines, and manage a heavy workload.
- Previous conflicts experience including reviewing conflict reports, researching corporate affiliations, and advising firm lawyers on conflict issues or relationship issues.
OTHER:
- Primary availability during the Firm’s business hours with flexibility to work outside of a standard schedule as needed.
- Periodic on-call rotation required and remote work is an option, subject to location approval by the firm. Occasional travel to Atlanta office may be required.

Pay Transparency Range:
California: $133,750 - $218,900
Colorado & Illinois: $133,750 - $200,600
New York: $145,950 - $218,900
Washington, D.C.: $139,800 - 209,800
