Job Summary:
As a paralegal with Quorum Services, you will be at the forefront of pioneering change in healthcare. Your expertise will be crucial in navigating the complexities of healthcare regulations, corporate formation, supporting our mission to elevate healthcare standards, and driving forward our vision of a healthier tomorrow. This position will work closely with the licensing team, inhouse counsel, and field operations to help ensure our companies are structured properly and have the licenses and certifications necessary to operate their diverse businesses. The position will assist in drafting, proofing and finalizing licensing applications, Medicare and Medicaid provider applications, and various other legal documents. It will also assist with the formation and maintenance of various corporate entities. Through the successful performance of the position’s essential functions, this position will have a direct impact on the legal department’s successful delivery of outstanding legal services.
Key Duties:
• Compile, analyze, interpret, and communicate regulatory requirements as relevant to emerging or ongoing business activities.
• Coordinate and ensure timely and thorough completion of all required licensure applications and renewals.
• Interface with regulatory agencies, internal and external personnel, and any/all other parties necessary to complete licensing applications and renewals in accordance with agency requirements. Troubleshoot any potential barriers to licensing/renewals.
• Collect, organize, file, and manage license applications and renewals documentation to ensure ease of access and proper monitoring.
• Document licensing updates; report status updates to management; provide recommendations to resolve or correct any issues identified by the licensing/renewal process. Communicate with urgency any issues of concern.
• Work closely with management to ensure that emerging business activities meet all relevant licensing and regulatory requirements. Assist in developing and updating policy and procedure manuals.
• Act as an internal resource for questions regarding licensing and regulatory issues.
• Communicate and work seamlessly with various internal and external departments to identify improvement opportunities in licensing and reimbursement.

Qualifications:
• Completion of an Accredited paralegal/legal studies program preferred or equivalent experience in healthcare environment.
• 1+ years preferred of applicable experience in healthcare provider licensing.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be a self-starter
• High level of self-accountability.
• Superior attention to detail.
• Ability to multi-task under tight timelines with strong administrative and organizational skills to prioritize workload to meet business needs and deadlines.
• Team oriented with proven experience with internal and external teams.
• Pleasant interpersonal demeanor and ability to work with all levels of colleagues and leadership.
• Proficient in Adobe, Microsoft Office Products and Internet navigation.
• Ability to work independently and virtually.
