Job Description

Zwicker & Associates P.C. is a national creditor rights law firm whose focus on ethics, compliance, and assertive representation of our clients’ interests makes us the industry leader in debt collection. Founded in 1991, Zwicker represents creditors in a variety of consumer and commercial recovery and litigation efforts.


Zwicker is presently seeking an Attorney that lives in the El Paso, Texas area to join our team. This Attorney will appear in court in the El Paso area and carries no billing requirement. This role can be fully work from home when you are not in court. 


Compensation and Benefits:

  • Salary range for this position is $85,000-$120,000 per year

Requirements
  • Utilize internal proprietary software to properly update and document the status of each account in the assigned inventory
  • Advocate on behalf of client’s interests at various litigation settings
  • Attorney must travel to various courtrooms within the branch office footprint as required
  • Draft, review, and file legal pleadings, motions, discovery, etc. in furtherance of active litigation files
  • Review litigation case files and pleadings to determine appropriate action
  • Analyze and process litigation inventory reports and litigation files, as assigned by Managing Attorney, to ensure that proper litigation work flow is being performed pursuant to the firm and client expectations
  • Comply with all client and firm standard operating procedures
  • Communicate effectively and appropriately with Attorneys, team members and outside parties
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Required Experience

  • Admission to practice law in the state of Texas, required
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly motivated self-starter
  • Ability to manage and prioritize a large caseload
  • Minimum of one year of litigation/trial experience, preferred
  • Working knowledge of civil procedure
  • Debt collection experience
  • Prior experience in high volume environment

Physical Qualifications

  • Be able to travel  when needed by the most efficient means of transportation
  • Be able to lift five pounds or greater
  • Be able to sit 90% of the work day at times
  • Be able to complete a minimum of a 40-hour flexible workweek schedule
  • Be able to read and comprehend position specific documents and correspondence
  • Be able to communicate in a common language with (or to) individuals or groups verbally and/or in writing
  • Be able to bend at the waist and be mobile when needed
  • Be able to operate a computer, phone, or equivalent device
