This is a part-time role, 24 hours per week, in Perrysburg, Ohio.
This position is responsible for conducting investigations of suspected violations of O-I policies and, at times, of suspected criminal activity in order to determine if discipline and/or criminal prosecution is appropriate. This work routinely requires interaction with members of the O-I Legal Department, O-I management, and law enforcement authorities. Investigations may cover such topics as theft, product tampering, harassment and other employment issues, workplace violence, data privacy, intellectual property issues, violations of policies and/or union contracts, and others. Investigations originate from the corporate office, manufacturing plants, and O-I's Ethics and Compliance Helpline.
Responsibilities:
- Investigate complaints received through various reporting mechanisms.
- Interview suspects, employees and/or outside persons.
- Obtain statements, oral, written and/or recorded.
- Prepare detailed investigative reports.
- Conduct safety and security assessments at the plants and other locations.
- Direct the activities of employees regarding safety and criminal issues.
- Assist in strike preparation and plant closures.
- Act as a liaison with law enforcement as necessary.
- Conduct investigations dealing with inappropriate use of company computers including intellectual property theft.
- Partner with IT on forensic breakdowns.
- Develop and provide training to employees.
- Perform other related tasks as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent training and ten (10) or more years of investigative experience required.
- Experience in investigations involving drugs, theft, fraud, harassment (including sexual harassment), and violence or threats of violence preferred.
- Experience dealing with unions or labor relations issues preferred.
- Extensive computer background, including use in investigations.
- Strong ability to communicate effectively with various organizational levels, including executive leadership.
- Familiarity with Windows suite of products.
- Ability to create and present presentations to a large audience.
- Ability to operate well in stressful situations.
Travel:
This job will require travel, at times with little to no advanced notice. Travel varies but expected to be about 35% of the time. May be required to work evenings, weekends and holidays while conducting investigations or assisting other law enforcement agencies.
Salary Range: The salary range for this position is $50,000-$60,000, based on qualifications and experience. Actual compensation may vary depending on various factors, including but not limited to experience, education, and skill level. This range is provided in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
