Salary
- Job Summary
To perform varied and responsible clerical functions requiring individual judgment, initiative and knowledge in carrying out established policies, procedures and/or applying laws pertaining to the Office of District Attorney.
- Key Responsibilities
- Use personal computer with Microsoft 365 package of products and Smart Sheet Spreadsheets.
- Learn and become proficient with District Attorney’s Office internal PROTECT, Evidence.com and RMS Phoenix Law Enforcement Databases.
- Electronically share police reports and digital media to deliver discovery to defense.
- Problem solve and recognize when evidence is missing from a case and how to get it.
- Maintain online billing program for discovery materials.
- Close and scan felony files and close misdemeanor files as needed.
- Copy jury information sheets as needed.
- Fill in for all other legal clerks to cover absences.
- Relieve receptionist for breaks.
- Perform other related tasks as required.
Supervision Received
Receives general supervision from the District Attorney, Deputy District Attorney and DA Office Manager.- Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED; and two (2) years of law related secretarial science work or Associate degree in a Legal Secretary field from an accredited technical school or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience, which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities.
- Experience in working with legal terminology and principles.
- Recent technical training or work experience with Microsoft Word or a comparable word processing computer application.
- Prompt and regular attendance.

- Ability to follow oral and written instructions effectively.
- Ability to communicate effectively with other employees and the general public.
