Duties If selected for this position, you will serve as a Administrative Service Specialist for the United States Attorney's Office for the Western District of Wisconsin. Typical work duties include the following: Manages the certification of obligations for the district. Ensures that all obligations, expenditures, unobligated orders and available balances are properly maintained, supported and documented. Responsible for administering a variety of contracting and procurement activities. Analyzes and evaluates current office systems and develops new or alternative procedures to improve the effectiveness of work methods and procedures, utilization of space and manpower, use of equipment, organizational structure, distribution of work assignments, delegation of authority, management controls, workflow, and systems development for the all staff. Coordinates a variety of facility maintenance and/or repair activities for workspaces. Manages the districts property program in accordance with appliable governing policies. Salary

Qualifications GS-11: To be qualified for the GS-11 position, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 level in federal service or Education or a Combination of Education and Experience. Specialized Experience: include formulating and executing office budget; preparing a variety of reports concerning the status of funds, expenses or obligations; planning and procuring office equipment, supplies, and/or furniture; and projecting and analyzing space needs based on proposed initiatives, staff changes, and technology improvements. OR Education: One of the following types of education a Ph.D., or equivalent doctoral degree; OR 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree OR LL.M., if related. Education must have been obtained in an accredited college or university and demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the duties of the position. OR Combination of Education/Experience: Combinations of successfully completed graduate education and experience may be used to meet total qualification requirements. In order to qualify based on a combination, graduate education must be in excess of 2 full years. Career Transition Assistance Plan (CTAP)-The CTAP provides eligible surplus and displaced competitive service employees in the Department of Justice with selection priority over other candidates for competitive service vacancies.
