
Deposition Scheduler / Clerk (Workers' Compensation)
Abramson Labor Group See More Job Openings by This EmployerAbramson Labor Group is seeking a highly motivated, well-qualified Deposition Calendar Clerk / Scheduler to join our team in Burbank, CA.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the scheduling and calendar appointments for Depositions related to workers' compensation cases. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a thorough understanding of California workers' compensation laws and procedures.
Essential functions of the role include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Manage and maintain the calendar for workers' compensation depositions ensuring the goal of depositions scheduled and depositions completed, per day is met
- Schedule depositions and coordinate logistics with in-house attorneys and the opposing counsel
- Track and update deposition deadlines, to ensure compliance is met
- Distribute deposition notices, Zoom Links, addresses, and other relevant documents
- Communicate effectively with attorneys, department team members, and other parties involved in the workers' compensation process.
- Assist in the requesting of Transcripts as needed
- Maintain organized records of all calendared depositions and correspondence.
- Respond to inquiries regarding deposition scheduling and other factors involved
- Stay current on changes in workers' compensation deposition procedures to ensure accurate scheduling and compliance.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in legal studies or paralegal certification is a plus.
- Previous experience in a legal setting, preferably related to workers' compensation or personal injury.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and calendar management software.
- Knowledge of California workers' compensation laws and procedures is highly desirable, but not required
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
