A description of the business units can be found at: https://www.jobs.irs.gov/about/who/business-divisions Vacancies will be filled in the following specialty areas: Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) The following are the duties of this position at the full working level. If this vacancy includes more than one grade and you are selected at a lower grade level, you will have the opportunity to learn to perform these duties and receive training to help you grow in this position. Coordinates, leads and conducts comprehensive technical visits to area and territorial offices. Determines approach to addressing issues related to the quality and efficiency of work and compliance operations. Evaluates systemic factors related to program effectiveness and compliance practices pertaining to management, personnel, quality controls and availability of resources. Serves as the national program manager's consultant. Serves as focal point for the identification and resolution of problems, i.e., programmatic, technical or procedural, including those stemming from contacts, tensions or conflicts with external organizations or interest groups. Coordinates with national office components to assure uniformity of procedures and interpretations in resolving issues related to the administration of the program. Identifies enforcement and conciliation accomplishments implemented on a corporate, industry, or nationwide basis to ensure non-discrimination for protected groups, or any program or activity that is federally-funded or conducted. Ensures systemic problems are identified and resolved. Consults with management officials and senior level management by means of oral and written reports, and analyses of the status of the agency's activities and the actions taken or proposed to resolve operating problems and improve management. Salary- $122,198 - $191,900/year
