Job Description

This is a full-time position with the Information Technology at the Supreme Court of the United States in Washington, D.C. Closing Date: Monday, 09/01/2025, 11:59 PM EDT Please note that this vacancy has a limit of 200 applicants. Duties

The software developer will perform the full range of tasks and activities involved in developing, supporting and administering the Court's web-based software applications for the Court's Intranet and Internet website. The developer will be involved in the full project development lifecycle, including user requirements analysis, logical/physical design and development, quality assurance testing, training and implementation. The candidate will participate in or oversee software development or system upgrade activities and projects that provide web-based systems responsive to the needs of the Court and the website's users and will be responsible for responding to any software-related problems or issues at the site.

Qualifications

Candidates must possess good communications skills, experience gathering software requirements from and providing technical assistance to computer users and experience developing web applications. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, meet goals and deadlines and the ability to work with a minimum of guidance are all required. Candidates must have at least 3 years technical experience in web-based software development activities. Essential Requirements: Knowledge of and the ability and desire to learn, Azure DevOps, JavaScript (and JavaScript frameworks), Microsoft .NET (C#), Microsoft .NET Core, CSS, SSRS/PowerBi. Additional Skills: SQL Server 2016/2019/2022, VB.NET, XML/XSLT, Office Automation, Telerik tools. Some travel and occasional irregular hours may be required. Employment is subject to successful completion of a security background check.

Education Candidates must have a college degree (Computer Science or related preferred) or equivalent experience.
