Job description:

ADK is seeking a highly skilled Litigation Paralegal with at least five years of experience to join our team of ten attorneys in our Downtown Los Angeles office. Our practice focuses on high-stakes, civil and white-collar criminal litigation in both federal and California state courts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide litigation support from intake through trial and post-judgment
  • Manage discovery, including document collection, review, production, and e-discovery coordination
  • Effectively manage document productions and document reviews in litigation support software
  • Maintain case calendars, manage deadlines, and  interface with docketing for compliance
  • Assist in drafting, proofreading, and cite-checking legal documents
  • Prepare exhibits, trial binders, and hearing materials
  • Coordinate with clients, experts, and court personnel
  • Assist with final Word document preparation of court filings, including Table of Authorities and including  filing documents with the court

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of litigation paralegal experience in federal and California state court matters
  • California Paralegal Certification Required (ABA, CPA, or equivalent)
  • Demonstrated mastery of discovery procedures, docketing systems, and litigation timelines
  • Strong writing, organizational, and communication skills
  • Familiarity with relevant court rules and procedures
  • Proficient in litigation support software and tools
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word formatting, page breaks, numbering, Table of Authorities, etc.
  • Proficiency in Everlaw a plus, proficiency in other litigation support software (Relativity, Disco, or other a requirement)
  • Experience with iManage or similar DMS preferred
