Core Responsibilities:
- Negotiate Settlements: Develop and execute negotiation strategies for personal injury claims, maximizing settlement values while maintaining positive attorney relationships.
- Gather & Analyze Case Information: Obtain comprehensive case information from attorney offices and insurance carriers, using data to inform negotiation strategies.
- Monitor & Track Cases: Follow up on claims and settlements, escalating delays and resolving discrepancies to ensure timely resolution.
- Collaborate with Internal Teams: Work closely with other departments (e.g., Billing, Verification) to ensure accurate and efficient processing of claims.
- Maintain Detailed Records: Document all communication, negotiations, and settlement agreements meticulously.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in medical collections, with a focus on personal injury cases required.
- Demonstrated success in negotiating settlements, ideally within the healthcare and legal (Personal Injury) industries.
- Strong understanding of personal injury case dynamics, settlement processes, and medical liens.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software.
