In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Conduct legal research to support filings, investigations, regulatory matters, and litigation preparation.
- Review statutes, administrative regulations, and legal journals to support attorneys with case strategy.
- Investigate facts, gather records, and prepare summaries for attorney review.
- Draft and prepare legal documents including subpoenas, complaints, motions, responses, and pretrial materials under attorney supervision.
- Prepare correspondence, legal memoranda, and supporting documents for hearings, meetings, and filings.
- Work with internal teams (HR, Safety, Operations, Medical, Procurement) to gather documentation and information needed for legal matters.
- Support attorneys during interviews, hearings, depositions, and internal meetings by taking organized notes and tracking follow-up items.
- Assist new or junior attorneys with understanding internal workflows and document preparation procedures.
- Maintain case files, document repositories, and legal libraries, ensuring accuracy and accessibility.
- Support digital recordkeeping and organization of legacy documents.
- Handle sensitive information with professionalism, confidentiality, and discretion.
Qualifications:

- Preferred (but not required) Bachelor’s degree in Paralegal Studies, Legal Studies, Criminal Justice, or a related field
- Paralegal certificate or equivalent practical experience
- Experience in a law firm, corporate legal department, government agency, insurance company, or regulated industry
- Exposure to litigation, regulatory issues, compliance, administrative law, investigations, contracts, or general corporate legal work
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- High attention to detail with strong organizational abilities
- Ability to work independently, manage time, and prioritize tasks
- Comfort working with confidential information
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Basic understanding of legal terminology, processes, and procedures (or a willingness to learn quickly)
