Job Description

Greenberg Traurig (GT), a global law firm, has an exciting full-time employment opportunity for 4th to 7th year Associates with an interest in complex commercial, class action defense, and financial services litigation. Positions are available in New York. The ideal candidate will have strong writing and interpersonal skills, be interested in working on a collaborative, cross-office team, and have strong case management skills.  We offer competitive compensation and an excellent benefits package. 

Job Requirements:

Qualifications for this position are:

1.      Experience analyzing issues for, conducting research for, and drafting briefs addressing sophisticated legal issues for complex litigation.

2.      Successfully prepared for and participation at motion argument.

3.     Prepared outlines and exhibits for depositions; taking or defending depositions is a plus. 

4.      Trial preparation experience, including preparation of outlines and exhibits for direct and cross-examinations.

5.      Ability to be strategic, analytical, and working directly with clients.

7.      Case management experience, including running written discovery responses, document review and production, and working with experts. 

Law Review/Journal and/or Moot Court experience preferred, but not essential. Candidates must have a solid academic performance and be in good standing with the NY State Bar.  Admission to the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York preferred but not required.

The expected pay range for this position is:

$310,000-$420,000 per year

Salary will be determined based upon education, experience, job related factors permitted by law, internal equity, and market data, including geographic pay differentials in locations where market pay differs from the national average.
