Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as a Trademark Paralegal. This is a full-time, permanent position with opportunities for growth and advancement within the firm. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in trademark law and a passion for helping clients protect their brands.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys in all aspects of trademark prosecution, including conducting trademark searches, preparing and filing trademark applications, and responding to office actions
- Manage trademark portfolios for multiple clients, including monitoring deadlines, maintaining accurate records, and coordinating with clients to ensure timely filings
- Conduct research on trademark laws and regulations to provide support and guidance to attorneys and clients
- Prepare and file trademark renewals, assignments, and other related documents with the USPTO
- Communicate with clients and foreign associates regarding trademark matters and provide updates on the status of their trademark applications
- Assist with trademark enforcement efforts, including drafting cease and desist letters and preparing evidence for trademark infringement proceedings
- Maintain knowledge of current trademark laws and regulations and assist with updating internal processes and procedures as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree and/or paralegal certificate
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a trademark paralegal
- Knowledge of USPTO rules and procedures for trademark prosecution
- Strong research, analytical, and organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Proficiency in MS Office and trademark docketing software
- Experience with international trademark filings is a plus
