The job responsibilities encompass performing overall litigation paralegal and practice support tasks, including:
- Supporting document review teams.
- Providing support for extensive electronic discovery.
- Obtaining and organizing case materials daily.
- Preparing, organizing, and maintaining discovery and deposition materials and summaries.
- State and federal electronic docket filings.
- Docketing and calendaring deadlines.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree required, paralegal certificate a plus, but not required.
- A strong desire to learn business/corporate paralegal work and take on increasing responsibility with the firm.
- Software knowledge must include the Microsoft suite of products.
- Candidate must possess strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work with people of all levels.
- Ability to perform the essential functions of the role with or without reasonable accommodations.
- Ability to work well under pressure.
- Self-starter, a proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Legal office experience is preferred, but not necessary – we’re open to training the right candidate.
- Software knowledge (Relativity, Trial Director, Outlook .pst files, Sanction, WestLaw, LexisNexis).
