Associate Legal Counsel- Litigation (Hybrid- Kansas City)
Umb Financial Corporation See More Job Openings by This EmployerThis Associate Legal Counsel-Litigation will provide hands-on legal support and counsel to and work with business leaders, managers, and colleagues on legal issues impacting UMB and its subsidiaries.
How you will spend your time:
Research and writing on legal issues.
Assist with discovery in litigation matters.
Draft dispute-related correspondence and other documents as necessary.
Monitor litigation status and deadlines.
Participate in projects and process improvements including assessing best practice, drafting updates, and reviewing for legal compliance.
Prepare and distribute regular status reports; summarize trends and issues;
Support in alternative decision-making situations, for a broad range of internal clients.
Works under the supervision of General Counsel or Senior Managing Counsel.

We’re excited to talk with you if you have:
JD and licensed to practice law.
1-3 years of legal experience, preferably in litigation
Demonstrates exceptional interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
Demonstrates ability to research and advise on complicated legal issues.
Westlaw and other legal research tools proficient
Compensation Range:
Minimum: $83,200.00 - Maximum: $214,560.00The posted compensation range on this listing represents UMB’s standard for this role, but the actual compensation may vary by geographic location, experience level, and other job-related factors.
