Essential Responsibilities:
- Provide HR leadership globally for the Legal, EHS, Communications, Government Affairs, and Sustainability functions. Collaborate closely with executive leaders to develop and implement HR strategies that align with organizational goals, driving business outcomes and enhancing leadership effectiveness.
- Provide effective HR partnership to global employees while establishing strong working relationships with leaders and support the strategic direction of the function in both day-to-day operation and strategic planning
- Champion talent priorities, leading the HR people agenda to support functional objectives, including metrics for retention, attrition, and diversity.
- Develop and deploy organizational design and effectiveness solutions. Collaborate with Corporate HR leadership to analyze trends and metrics, identify gaps and partner with relevant COE to develop and drive solutions
- Partner across the global HR team to implement consistent HR practices and drive the HR people agenda.
- Promote a culture and environment that embodies the GE Vernova Way.
- Coach and counsel senior leaders through organizational changes, challenges and opportunities
- Lead a team of HR professionals, embodying the GE Vernova Way and delivering coaching, mentoring, proactive communication, and development opportunities.
- Collaborate with HR Business Partners and functional colleagues on engagement and culture activities. Identify and lead special projects to support team development
- Lead strategic projects and participate in cross-functional HR initiatives
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent knowledge or experience
- Major experience in human resources positions (10+ years) staff and/or client based
- Demonstrated ability to make independent decisions, evaluate people, manage conflicting priorities in a fast-paced environment and effectively interface at all organizational levels
Desired Characteristics:
- Master’s Degree in Business Administration or Human Resources, or equivalent knowledge or experience
- An impact player with proven ability to drive change in an effective and participative manner
- Resourceful, innovative, persuasive
- Experience in organizational design work and talent development efforts or emphasis on HR leadership/people strategies, coaching, employee solutions
- Experience applying lean tools to improving operations
- Experience engaging , working with and influencing C-Suite level leaders
- An inclusive style and superior interpersonal skills at all levels. Experience working with senior leadership teams in a business and human resources
- Creative problem solver with strong analytical skills
- Outstanding written and oral communication skills across all levels
- Proven success in working in highly dynamic and matrixed organizations during times of transformation
