
Gentry Locke Attorneys is recruiting a full-time Client Accounts Coordinator to join our team in Roanoke, VA! The position will be responsible for all accounts receivable functions including but not limited to preparing cash receipts for deposit; preparing billing (reminder) statements; updating client/matter notes with collection activity; processing calls in credit card transactions; preparing reports on demand; and following up on accounts placed for collection. A successful candidate will be ambitious and organized, and work well in a fast-paced, team environment. This position will have significant client contact. Candidates must have 3+ years of accounts receivables experience. Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office is essential. The willingness and ability to learn and expand on current technology skills including versatile cloud apps is required to navigate the robust technology package the firm maintains.

Responsibilities
- Opens and prepares cash receipts for processing in daily deposit for Gentry Locke and Gentry Locke Consulting accounts, to include processing of exceptions in Gentry Locke lockbox.
- Updates Client/Matter notes with every collection activity undertaken.
- Communicates with clients to collect aged accounts receivable.
- Meets with attorneys regularly regarding accounts receivables and work in process (unbilled work) for their clients.
- Obtains updated bankruptcy status on pending bankruptcies and takes appropriate action.
- Prepares Promissory Notes and Amortization Schedules as needed for clients wishing to pay by a payment plan for approval by Billing Timekeeper and Executive Director.
- Prepares billing (reminder) statements monthly and on demand.
- Prepares invoice copies and account history information for clients on demand.
- Processes all call in credit card transactions.
- Processes reports on demand.
- Follows up on accounts placed for collection and being handled either internally or externally.
- Reconcile and work Unallocated Ledger of unapplied cash to ensure all funds on hand are current and any aged funds are documented in Client/Matter notes.
- Work with Accounting Manager to complete and submit new vendor forms and ACH payment forms when requested by clients.

- 3+ years’ experience in accounts receivables.
- Ability to organize and prioritize numerous tasks and complete them under time constraints.
- Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail.
- Interpersonal skills necessary in order to communicate by person, by e-mail and telephone and follow the instruction effectively from a diverse group of individuals.
- Work occasionally requires more than 40 hours per week to perform the essential duties of the position; may require irregular hours.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office.
