We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Corporate In-House Legal Assistant to join our legal team at a publicly traded company. The ideal candidate will support the legal team by handling a variety of responsibilities including preparing and managing legal documents, organizing and maintaining files, tracking deadlines and regulatory filings, and administrative support for local team.
Key Responsibilities
  • Document Preparation and Management: Draft, review, manage, and file legal documents, including contracts, correspondence, corporate governance documents such as resolutions, minutes and entity maintenance documentation, and regulatory filings.
  • Compliance Support: Assist in tracking deadlines and maintaining records and documentation for compliance purposes.
  • Meeting Coordination: Coordinate all logistics for meetings and events including scheduling meetings, drafting agendas, developing, compiling, and distributing presentation materials, and recording meeting minutes.
  • Administrative Support: Manage the daily operations of the legal team, including scheduling meetings, organizing files, maintaining records, handling correspondence, managing in-bound and out-bound mail and packages. Provide administrative support to attorneys as needed.
  • Legal Research: Conduct legal research to support attorneys in preparing for contracts compliance requirements, and other legal matters.
  • Legal Budget Support: Assist with managing legal accruals, forecasts and budgets.
  • Stakeholder Interaction: Act as a liaison between the legal department and other departments within the company, as well as external stakeholders. Facilitate communication and coordination to ensure legal matters are addressed promptly and effectively.
  • Project Management: Manage and track various legal projects, ensuring deadlines are met and projects are completed efficiently. Coordinate with attorneys and other team members to ensure project success.
  • Training and Development: Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with legal trends and best practices. Support the legal team in implementing new processes, simplifications, and technologies.
Qualifications
  • Education: A bachelor's degree is preferred. Paralegal certification or equivalent legal training is highly desirable.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience as a legal assistant or paralegal, preferably within a corporate or public company environment or at a law firm.
  • Skills:
    • Strong organizational, planning and time management skills
    • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities and attention to detail
    • Proficiency in legal research and document management
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, take initiative, work independently, and adapt to changing priorities, all while maintaining an organized work environment
    • Ability to think practically and be proactive and solution-oriented
    • Ability to work collaboratively and be part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in legal software, document management systems, and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Familiarity with electronic filing systems (Salesforce, Sharepoint, OneDrive).
Working Conditions
  • The position typically operates within a standard office environment with in-office presence required at least 3 days each week. Flexibility to work beyond standard business hours may be required to meet deadlines and support urgent legal matters.
  • This role may involve occasional travel to attend meetings  or other business-related events.

The estimated base salary range for this full-time position is $72,438- $95,982 plus bonus and benefits, and can vary if outside of this location. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, competencies, experience, market demands, internal parity, and relevant education or training.
