Dinsmore is seeking a Litigation Paralegal at our Miami, FL location. The ideal candidate must have at least three years of experience in the area of commercial litigation with either a college degree, ABA-approved paralegal certificate or experience equivalent. Strong knowledge and experience with discovery is a must, as well as knowledge accessing and reviewing court dockets.
Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality billable work and record time in accordance with client/firm policy
- Conduct case research and investigation
- Analyze and summarize medical and other related records
- Manage collection, organization and production of electronic documents
- Drafting of discovery and subpoenas
- Work with expert consultants and witnesses
- Assist multiple attorneys through all phases of litigation
- Availability for limited travel to clients and other Dinsmore office
Requirements
- Highly skilled, proactive and well-rounded litigation paralegal
- Perform high-quality billable work and have expertise in assisting attorneys through all phases of litigation
- Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and accuracy and confidentiality
- Successful candidate will possess strong technical and database skills
- All candidates must have knowledge and experience with discovery
- Document management experience
- Must possess knowledge of state and federal court rules, as well as working knowledge of asbestos court dockets
- College degree, ABA-approved paralegal certificate or equivalent
- 3+ years of paralegal experience
- Candidates should also possess strong verbal and written communication skills, be highly organized, have strong technical and database skills, and possess pre-trial experience
