This position is for an Immigration Associate Attorney for the firm’s Boston, MA Office.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The Associate will collaborate with other firm Immigration attorneys and paralegals in day-to-day work on cases; Prepare and file petitions and applications for submission to U.S. government agencies and consular posts for non-immigrant (including L, H, TN, O, E petitions) and immigrant visas, and PERM filings with DOL; Stay abreast of current Immigration legislation and contribute to the Immigration Practice Group’s online blog; Assist in advising clients on I-9 and E-Verify compliance and corporate immigration policies and strategies.
Skills and Educational Requirements:
- Member in good standing of the Massachusetts Bar preferred.
- At least 2 years of experience handling all aspects of employment-based immigration. Experience must include drafting and preparing non-immigrant visa petitions, with an emphasis on H-1B, L-1, E-1/2/3 and TN categories, as well as immigrant visa processes including PERM labor certification, EB-1, EB-2, EB-3 and NIW.
- Demonstrated track record of providing exceptional service to multiple corporate clients while working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Advise, counsel and train employees on a wide range of immigration laws and regulations
- Excellent communication, writing and detail-oriented skills
- Industry experience across healthcare or higher ed, technology, life sciences, and finance preferred
