Foster, Swift, Collins & Smith P.C.. is seeking a full-time Family Law Attorney. This position is for our Grand Rapids office. Attorneys with five-plus years’ litigation experience and a passion for family law are encouraged to apply. Depending upon the qualifications of the candidate this position may be either a senior associate or senior attorney position. Future potential for shareholdership.

Position Responsibilities Include:
- Case analysis and strategy development based on client’s situation
- Client communication on strategy, options and next steps
- Draft pleadings, motions, settlement agreements, judgements and orders for divorce and child-custody cases
- Represent clients in both negotiations and in court proceedings, including mediations, trials, evidentiary hearings, and motions.
- Advise clients on a wide range of family law issues such as divorce, child custody, and support.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in family law and related areas.

Position Qualifications Include:
- 5 plus years litigation experience
- 2 plus years experience in family law and a passion to continue practicing in this area preferred
- Licensed and in good standing with the State Bar of Michigan
- Strong writing and oral communication skills
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented with good time management skills
- Excellent client service skills with proven ability to communicate and manage clients
- Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
- Familiarity with West Michigan County courts
